19 babies! That’s the total that made it into the largest group photo at Dr. Robert M. Biter’s office today. This is for a feature in next month’s Ranch & Coast magazine! BIG huge thanks to all the parents who brought their little ones, and to Dr. Biter’s amazing staff for making this run smoothly. I wouldn’t say it’s my best work, but it was a lot of fun. Had to include a few behind the scenes photos to start off; notice the multitasking going on in #2:

    Hello

I am a Midwife in Ontario, Canada and have read a few stories about this OB and his wonderful approach and respect for women. He is a rare and precious breed. How I would love to consult with an Obstetrican of his caliber!!! The video of him trying in vain to turn a breech and the way he was so respectful and concious of that woman’s feelings brought tears to my eyes. I have only met one other OB with such grace and he lives in England.

ANYTIME he feels he might want to come and practice in my “catchment” area he is very much invited!!! Failing that lets clone him and bring one up here!!! Please!!!

We need so many more Doctors like him!!!

    Sigh.

Your pictures are wonderful and I think you have captured the essence of the man and well done!!

I love these pics, especially the last one of Dr Biter and my baby Haven, we’re so proud that he held out long enough to star in some shots with Dr Biter. We will proudly put some of these pictures in his memory book.

I, too, have read stories about this wonderful doctor. If only they could all be like him! His respect for women, babies and the process of birth is just so amazing, and sadly unusual. I had my first baby with a midwife at home - if I ever HAD to have a baby in a hospital, I would do everything I could to be one of his patients (and I live across the country).

    Please, Dr. Wonderful, clone yourself!

Dr. Biter delivered my precious first about a month ago. He came highly recommneded by several friends and mid-wives. I was hesitant at first, thinking he had to be to good to be true. He absolutely lives up to his reputation. After meeting with him several times I felt so confident in his care that I skipped the Birth Plan that as a “Type A” personality I felt I couldn’t deliver without. It’s been said before, but it’s so true - he is a rare breed of Doctor. I truly hope more OB’s can learn from his style and approach. I wouldn’t trust any other Doctor to go through this amazing experience with.
