Best of 2007 Portrait Contest
January 11th, 2008 by Dawn Tacker
I’m very excited about this… the First Annual Eos Photography Portrait Contest is officially starting!! I have chosen my favorite ten images from my 2007 portrait sessions. This is completely and totally subjective. EDITED: instead of voting on your three favorites, just use the poll below to pick one. Let your voice be heard! The top vote-getting image will be awarded first prize, and a $300 gift certificate goes to the family! Second prize is a $150 gift certificate, third prize is a $75 gift certificate. Rules… not many! Anyone can vote. But only once. Tell everyone you know, let’s get those votes rolling in! Thanks for participating, for giving me your feedback, and for helping 2008 off to a great start. Contest ends on January 31st.
1 - Reflective Kat
2 - Ben & Jack: Brothers

Sunshine votes for a boy and his dog. They are all very beautiful, I feel the most with Julian and family. Baby holding daddy’s hand and all.
They are all beautiful, but I love number 1, 2 & 7 in that order.
They really are all beautiful, but I love Hannah at Moonlight Beach. In fact, I want to be her on that beach - it looks like a perfect moment!
The twins in #8 are absolutely beautiful!!!
Those twins (#8) are amazingly beautiful!
what a precious sight.
I like the twins #8, it gets my vote!
The picture of “Reflective Kat” is beautifully done and gets my vote.
Most likely due to their unique magic of being born twins, they get my vote. The twins (#8) portrait is something I believe will be treasured by the whole family for years to come.
Number 9 is my favorite, a boy and his dog is a special relationship and so nicely done here. It is easy to see and feel the love between them and Nico’s smile is so full of life!

Love #9
#9 is our favorite. Blue will always be Nico’s best friend.
You have captured a wonderful expression!
#9 is numer one! What a special spiritual bond, a boy and his dog! Many of the photos are very nice and beautifully done. But the spirit of companionship is really alive in #9. It would make a nice book cover… to a adventures of a boy and his dog. Thank you.
My favorite of the bunch is #9 - Nico & Blue: A Boy and his Dog. Both the dog and boy have great expressions on their faces! IMHO I would like to see a little more of a crop; the two subjects a little lower in the frame and just a bit to the left.
My second choice is #7 - Hannah at Moonlight Beach. Nice composition, tone, and soft-glow effect.
My third choice is #1 - Reflective Kat. It’s a nice simple yet powerful shot.
All are very nice shots and I’m sure will be great memories for the parents as well as the kids….as they grow older.
A boy and his dog are turly inseparable.
So cute.
Love No. 9. It is just a great picture showing the companionship of a great dog and her little friend..
