You might recognize the super cute Wesley and Molly from their family’s beach session. This time we focused on just the two siblings, on “moving day” at their new home! I loved exploring the relationship between these two, they are quite the pair. I hope that Wesley will always be able to make Molly laugh […]

One of the best things about marrying Dave was marrying into his family. We don’t get to visit them in Cambria as often as we would like, but whenever we do it’s such a treat. So here’s a 100% non-business post, from our trip up to Cambria.
Ready to roll with all the essentials… including the […]

If you haven’t been to Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, CA you should! It is one of our happy places. Andrew is content to explore there for hours. Our favorite part is the bamboo garden. They have a terrific children’s garden with weekly activities, and tons of other places to get away. It’s a peaceful, […]

It’s a tradition that we are almost always late. For everything. When I make it on time to shoots and weddings it is through pure willpower and usually telling myself the wrong time so I arrive on time. So when my birthday rolls around (December 15th, in case it’s not already on your calendar) we […]

Here are a few images from today’s session at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. It is getting chilly for beach sessions - winter is definitely here. I know the East Coasters are laughing as they read that last sentence, but hey - anything under 65 degrees does feel chilly. Garry and Suzy have this amazingly photogenic […]

Just a reminder… any orders that you need to receive no later than December 24th need to be placed by noon on Monday December 11th. Call or email if you have any questions or concerns. There’s a little bit of wiggle room, especially for local clients; depending on the item, though, there could be rush […]

I love it when I am asked to photograph a family again! It’s so rewarding for me to see your little ones grow up. Today I had the pleasure of spending time with Anabel, who is almost two years old. In April I photographed Anabel’s christening at the Mission San Diego. It is amazing to […]

Leo Carrillo Ranch is one of my new favorite places to shoot family sessions. There are so many great textures, lots of interesting architecture, and a flock of peacocks that wander the grounds to entertain. And unlike the beach, there is always some shade provided by the buildings or the woods, so I can shoot […]

The last family session from New York… what a treat! One of the things I miss the most about the East Coast is Fall. Sean and his dad raked up a pile of leaves, and the kids and dogs had a great time playing in it during our session. Shannon and Sean are two siblings […]

A photo session with Jamie, Eric and Jocelyn in New York.
My parents indulged me with a little photo shoot in and around Southold, on the North Fork of Long Island.

From the NY sessions… probably the most adorable subjects of the whole week. Rosie has a beautiful litter of boys, they are five weeks old in this photo. They are just like newborn human babies at this age - they nap after every meal, have short bouts of play, and love to be held.

We flew to NY today for some family time and a few portrait sessions. Andrew hasn’t flown since he was an infant, so it was pretty exciting for him.
The last wedding for the season was one that I shot for Allana Taranto. Beth and Andrew were married on the rooftop of the Park Manor Hotel, overlooking Balboa Park.

I was really honored to be featured on bludomain’s blog yesterday. They are a really great company that makes websites for creative professionals. They choose their favorite website that launches each week, and I was really blown away when they chose mine. They have been terrific to work with, and they keep up a funny, […]

What a difference a year can make. Andrew really “got” Halloween this year. He had very definite opinions on what he would (and would not) wear, and he definitely got into the treats aspect of it. Here are a couple of images from his day.

Yesterday our little guy turned three. We had a small party at home to celebrate, with his best buddies and their mommies and daddies! Thanks to everyone for helping us make this day special. It was so fun that he really “got it” this year - he understood what having a birthday meant, the entire […]
